LATEST UPDATE: Following the cancelation of the 2021 event due to the ongoing pandemic the organisers have considered the various options with regards the entries that were carried over from 2020 and it was decided that the only fair thing to do is not to carry forward the entries. Therefore, in October 2021 the entries for 2022 SSDT event will open online and if applications exceed the number of places available then the usual ballot process will take place. The organising committee felt this was the fairest way to move forward. The organising Edinburgh & District Club are very aware that the...

It is with a heavy heart that the Edinburgh and District MC has taken the decision, as a result of the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, to cancel the 2021 SSDT and the Pre’65 Scottish trials.
We realise that this will be a massive disappointment to many people. However, we are making an early, logical decision to provide fans and everyone else involved in the event as much notice as possible.
Competitors who have entered the events will be contacted shortly after the two organising committees have met to decide on the way forward.

Although the 2020 event was cancelled, many SSDT fans followed the virtual SSDT tour by Vince Mackintosh in May. Vince toured the event sections on his pushbike giving excellent commentary and SSDT tips along the way, together with his previous fundraising he raised over £4000 for the local hospital nurses. On top of Vince’s fantastic fundraising the SSDT team held a series of on-line raffles with prizes donated by local businesses, riders and trials retailers.
The aim of this was to give back to communities in and around Fort William. We made a grand total of £6651.49 of which the nearly hal...
