There has been a lot of talk and speculation on the effects of recent fuel costs and whether there will be any fuel surcharge for competitors at this years event. The Club is pleased to confirm that due to some additional late sponsorship we are not going to charge any fuel suppliment this year. It is recognised that to compete in the SSDT is costly enough without additional costs being put on to entry fees. The Club runs the event on a non profit basis so this year will be very tight but thanks to our generous sponsors we are working to keep the cost down as best we can. Please take time to c...

We are pleased to announce that we have teamed up with Jitsie as one of our key partners for the SSDT. Jitsie is a brand that we know well through its long involvement of supporting riders at the SSDT and that is dedicated to the sport of trials, so the new partnership seemed an obvious extension of their relationship with our event. Our officials will be easily identified in their new Jitsie clothing, which will assist in lifting the overall image of SSDT, whilst the live coverage will certainly help promote and amplify the trial and the region to all corners of the globe.

Although the 2020 event was cancelled, many SSDT fans followed the virtual SSDT tour by Vince Mackintosh in May. Vince toured the event sections on his pushbike giving excellent commentary and SSDT tips along the way, together with his previous fundraising he raised over £4000 for the local hospital nurses. On top of Vince’s fantastic fundraising the SSDT team held a series of on-line raffles with prizes donated by local businesses, riders and trials retailers.
The aim of this was to give back to communities in and around Fort William. We made a grand total of £6651.49 of which the nearly hal...
