The Sad Loss Of David Miller

edmc shield transparentEdinburgh & District Motor Club are deeply saddened to advise of the death of David Miller. For 20 years David and the late Ted Heather made up the route marking team responsible for road marking the SSDT. They were great friends and spent many holidays together hillwalking and exploring remote parts of the country.

David joined the SSDT organising committee in 1965 as a machine examiner and worked every year since, both as a machine examiner and a route marker, a total of 51 years dedication to the SSDT. Competitors will also know David as one of the Sunday machine examiners, a job he has done for 51 years, painting little coloured dots on everything from Matchless to Vertigo.

We will all miss a true gentlemen this year, who had many SSDT tales and memories to share. Our thoughts are with David's family at this time.
