The Sad Loss Of Andrew Dignan

andrew dignanIt is with great sadness that the Club have been advised of the death of Andrew Dignan after a long illness. Best known by SSDT competitors as the 'end of day time control’, Andrew has been involved in the Scottish six Days Trial for three decades, originally observing with his late wife Grace.

Andrew always had a tale to tell of his SSDT exploits and cheered many a weary rider up at the end of his day from his little silver van.

The SSDT was only a small part of Andrews involvement with trials being an active member of Lochaber MCC and supporting his sons, and grandsons, in their trials careers.

Andrew's funeral will take place on Saturday 28th July at 12pm in Roybride, any and all donations will be sent to the Belford Hospital Ward One Endowment Fund.

He will be deeply missed.
